Following the conclusion of the Summer 2024 transfer window, Ammanford AFC would like to update supporters with changes within the squad over recent weeks.
In the final days of the window, new manager Wyn Thomas added three new faces to his side.
The first one is a man who’ll require no introduction to the Black and White army. Osian Dillon rejoins the squad after taking a year hiatus from footballing action.
Comfortable playing in either midfield or defence, Dillon was on the books of League One side Bristol Rovers as a youngster before joining Town. He has amassed nearly 50 appearances in Black and White, finding the back of the net once.
Central midfielder Jonathan Invernizzi has made the short move down the A48 from Carmarthen to Ammanford. Having started the season at Llantwit Major, the Italian joined Mark Aizelwood’s side in late August 2023.
Whilst at the Old Gold, he made 23 league appearances, scoring a late leveller in Town’s dramatic draw against eventual league winners Briton Ferry Llansawel.
The final new face to introduce is right back Luke Sylvester. The ex-Goytre Gwent star made his debut in our recent home victory against Penrhiwceiber Rangers, earning himself the players’ man of the match award.
Prior to his stint in the Ardal South East, Sylvester won plaudits as part of the Barry Town United side that romped to the league title in 2022/23 and played in the top flight at the beginning of last season.
You can see all three in action this Friday as we take on Taffs Well at home. Kick off for this fixture is at 19:30. A warm welcome awaits you all!
