Dan John signs on loan!

Ammanford have bolstered their attacking options with the capture of Dan John on loan from Cardiff Met until January.

This will be Dan’s second stint in Black and White after signing for the latter part of the 23/24 season. Whilst a part of Gruff Harrison’s squad, he made 11 appearances in Black and White and assisted once.

However, after leaving Town, he returned to his Pembrokeshire roots, signing for Haverfordwest County, showing eight times for the Bluebirds first team on their way to their Europa Conference qualification via the playoffs.

As well as turning out for the first team, John was instrumental in the youth academy’s treble winning season, scoring 38 league goals in just 28 games as they too qualified for European qualification.

This glittering form was enough to catch the eye of Cardiff Met Football Club and alongside his twin brother Hari, signed on the dotted line with the Archers this summer.

Speaking on his decision to join Town, Dan told us, “Ammanford is a club I really enjoyed being a part of and I’m excited to be back.

“I feel I’ve grown both on and off the pitch since my last spell, and I’m confident I have a lot more to offer.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to show what I can bring to the team this time around”

Boss Wyn Thomas stated, “Dan is someone I’ve admired for a while. In his first spell here, his attitude and will to improve was incredible. It came as no surprise to see him do so well last season.

“We are grateful to Cardiff Met for allowing us to sign Dan and we hope that we can help him with his continued development.”

Dan goes straight into the squad ahead of tomorrow night’s game against Llantwit Major. Croeso nol Dan!
