Transfer News: League winner Giardelli comes to Ammanford

Ammanford have added to their attacking arsenal with the signature of Alex Giardelli from Carmarthenshire rivals Carmarthen Town.

Alex makes the move down the A48 after making four outings for the Old Gold this season.

Giardelli was a part of the Llanelli Town squad that won the JD Cymru South title last time out. During his time at Steboneath Park, the marksman scored four goals in 30 appearances including a dramatic late winner away at Denbigh Town to earn the Reds a berth in the JD Welsh Cup semi finals.

Prior to his time in the JD Cymru South, Giardelli made his name in the Ardal South West and Macron West Wales Premier League, scoring over 50 goals for South Gower FC. As well as playing at Scurlage, the 27 year old has experience with Garden Village and our neighbours Cwmamman United FC.

Speaking on his decision to move to Ammanford, Alex stated, “I’m really excited to be a part of the great club. I can’t wait to play in front of the Black and White Army who back the side home and away. It’s an amazing squad and the management are thorough and professional. Their expectation and attention to detail really impressed me.”

Wyn Thomas stated, “Alex is a quality player so we jumped at the chance to bring him to the club. His work rate is terrific and he has a first class attitude.”
