Transfer News: Tyler Evans signs for Town

Ammanford AFC is delighted to announce the signature of young goalkeeper Tyler Evans.

The 21 year old started his career as a scholar at Swansea City. Whilst playing for the Swans, he represented his country at age grade level up to the age of Under 18’s. He was a regular between the sticks for the Swans youth as well as making the bench for the Under 23 side.

After leaving the championship based side, he has played for Briton Ferry Llansawel, Morriston Town and Burry Port.

He has made 12 appearances at this level, keeping five clean sheets in the process. He also played against Ammanford in the WBS cup for the Briton Ferry in a thrilling 4-4 draw which also saw him save Lee Trundle’s spot kick in normal time before his side went onto win the shootout.

Speaking on his decision to join the club, Evans stated, “I’ve been impressed with the way the club have started the season and am excited to be a part of the squad. It’s a good group here and I’m looking forward to testing myself as much as possible.”

Manager Wyn Thomas said, “Competition is a good thing and I’m delighted to welcome Tyler to the club. You can see from his career so far he is a talented player and he fits the personality of the type of player we want here at the club.”
