Ammanford AFC Reserves secured a late win against their local rivals Cwmamman United Reserves in this highly competitive friendly fixture played at the Recreation Ground Ammanford this evening.
In a well attended fixture, neither side could provide the creative spark to break the deadlock and both sides headed into the break goalless.
However, Ben Jones fired the hosts ahead just seven minutes into the second period with a well taken goal.
But, the home side were pegged back with 15 minutes remaining when the visitors secured an equaliser, and what appeared to be enough to secure a result from the fixture.
But, with the game heading for a draw it was Ammanford’s Chris Gregory who popped up and scored in the 87th minute, securing bragging rights for Ammanford’s Reserve side over their local rivals in this pre-season fixture.
