Beynon Double on Debut sinks Llangennech

Ammanford AFC Reserves achieved a fine away win at Llangennech despite playing with ten men for most of the game.
Ammanford’s Grant Stamp received two yellow cards within a couple of minutes which resulted in a red and sending off.
Ammanford had asserted themselves on the game and it was no surprise when forward Rhodri Jones who was proving to be a handful for the Llangennech defence burst through and slotted Ammanford’s first goal of the game. 0-1

Ammanford competed well all over the pitch and were making it difficult for the home team to create chances. Ammanford’s Shaun Williams pushed forward at every opportunity whilst the midfield trio of Ammanford Kieran Rees , Alex Arnold and Aaron Butler helped to break up the opponents flow to the game.
Ammanford scored a second goal ten minutes before half time when pressure from Ammanford’s robust centre forward Rhodri Jones on Llangennech’s Tom Harris saw the unfortunate Harris deflect his pass back at Jones to find the net. 0-2

Ammanford had the upper hand going into the second half and a fine solo run from Ammanford’s Joel Beynon who beat the home defence and goalkeeper to score from close range at the far post to virtually wrap up the game at 0-3.
Credit to the home team who continued to press Ammanford with some good runs from wideman Gavin Williams prompted by Daniel Price and Tom Harris with non stop running from home striker David Lewis. The home team won a free kick some 25 yards out from goal which was firmly struck and bizarrely , the ball travelled unhindered through to the goal net which took Ammanford keeper Craig Morris and his defence completely by surprise. 1-3.
However any sign of a home revival
was snuffed out when Ammanford’s  Joel Beynon got his second goal
of the game with a quality strike to make it 1-4.
