Ammanford AFC is delighted to announce the signing of Matthew Delaney for the 2025/26 season.
The midfielder arrives at Ammanford after playing for Goodwick United last term.
Prior to his time in Pembrokeshire, the central midfielder has previous Cymru South experience with local rivals Llanelli and Carmarthen Town. He has made nearly half a century of appearances, finding the back of the net four times including a goal in the Old Gold’s 4-0 win against Ammanford in 2022.
Delaney made his Ammanford bow in our preseason game against Morriston Town and is eligible to play against Cardiff City in the first round of the Nathanial MG Cup on the 19th July.
Delaney told us, “I’m really pleased to be here at Ammanford. I spoke to the management team who told me a lot of positives about the club and the squad we’ve got. I can’t wait to get started.”
