Callum comes home! Humphreys signs for Town

Ammanford are happy to announce the signing of Callum Humphreys to the playing squad for the 25/26 season.

An Ammanford native, this will be the defender’s second stint in Black and White having started out his senior career at the club and coming through the youth ranks at the Recreation Ground.

After leaving Town, the 28-year-old has played for Rhayader Town and South Gower before returning home in preseason.

Comfortable playing across the back line and in central midfield, he has been a part of a defensive unit that has impressed throughout preseason, conceding just two goals in five appearances including a substitute outing against Cardiff City in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

Callum told us, “I’m really excited to be back at my hometown club, Ammanford AFC, this season. I know first hand the type of club it is, the special fans it has and the place it holds in my heart.

“There’s a fantastic group of lads in the dressing room both on and off the field. This should set us up for a strong season.

Wyn Thomas stated, “Our defence has been excellent throughout preseason and I’ve been really impressed with the way Callum has conducted himself on and off the field. He is a fantastic young man and someone who will add a lot to our dressing room and improve us on the field.”
