
Saturday sees us make our second away trip of the campaign against Ynyshir Albions. The Buns have made a strong start to the season, earning a fantastic victory against local rivals Pontypridd United last weekend as well as putting in strong performances against Caerau Ely and Llanelli Town in their early games of the term.
Here is a handy guide to everything the Black and White Army need to know to enjoy their trip to one of the league’s more picturesque grounds!

How to get there
It is just over an hour to get to Ynyshir Albions home ground, the Ynyshir Oval. Traffic depending, it should take you around 1 hour and 10 minutes to make the journey from the Recreation Ground.

The nearest train station is Porth and is a 24 minute walk from the Oval.
Parking
There is no on site parking at the Ynyshir Oval and parking is difficult in the surrounding streets. After liaising with Ynyshir, they suggest using the nearby industrial estate and taking a 3 minute walk to the ground, as shown below.

As you approach Ynyshir along the bypass from Porth. Take a right off at Abbey Glass. Turn left and there should be more space to park along there.
Walk up past the school and a path brings you over to the ground which is approximately a 2-3 minute walk.
Facilities
Whilst there is no on site clubhouse, the club does have a small shop at the ground providing you with a range of snacks and refreshments including both hot and cold food and drinks.
Should you wish to have pre or post match drink, the Station Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the ground.

Supporters will be able to pay on the gate on the day of the game with the prices for adults and U16s as follows;

Last meeting
You have to go back over two years since the Buns and Town last faced off. On that occasion, it was the hosts that took the bragging rights with a 1-0 victory thanks to Jake Cross’ second goal of the season. Of the Town squad that took to the field that day, only Morgan Clarke and Callum Thomas remain.
