Callum Thomas is back for the Cymru Prem!

Ammanford AFC can confirm that Callum Thomas is the latest player to commit his future to the club.

The 22‑year‑old continues his long association with his hometown side, having progressed through the youth ranks before breaking into the first team as a teenager.

Since making his debut, Thomas’ reputation within Welsh football has continued to grow. A two‑time Young Player of the Year, he has already made over a century of appearances for the club.

He has also captained the side on several occasions, including on the final day of last season when victory away at Cwmbran Celtic secured our first‑ever promotion to the Cymru Premier.

Alongside his work rate and consistency, Thomas has contributed important goals whilst playing for the club including last season in crucial results against Cambrian United, Cardiff Draconians and away at Pontypridd United in January.

Reflecting on his decision to stay, Thomas stated, “It was a no‑brainer signing on for another year!

“What we achieved last season was amazing. Promotion to the Cymru Premier was a dream for me when entering senior football, and to do it with the team I grew up with — it doesn’t get much better.

“I’ll enjoy the challenge and experience of this season and I cannot wait to bring Cymru Premier football to the Rec. It’s what all the players, staff and supporters deserve.”
