Ammanford AFC is delighted to announce the signing of defender Harri Rowe, who returns to Welsh football following a spell in the United States.
The 26-year-old began his career in the academy system at Shrewsbury Town before returning to his hometown club, Aberystwyth Town. During his time on the coast, he played a key role in a development side that secured consecutive league titles.
A brief spell with Haverfordwest County followed before Rowe returned to Aberystwyth. However, his second stint was cut short during the behind-closed-doors campaign of 2020/21, leading to a new chapter overseas.
Over the past five years, Rowe has built an impressive reputation across the Atlantic as an adventurous full-back, combining defensive solidity with attacking intent and a knack for finding the net.
Now back on home soil, the defender is eager to test himself at the highest level of the domestic game and is looking forward to playing his part as Town prepare for the start of the new campaign.
Speaking about his decision to join Ammanford AFC, Rowe said,
“When returning to Wales, I had the ambition of playing Cymru Premier football. After speaking with the coaching staff and learning more about the club, it quickly became clear how close-knit the community is and how much everyone involved is committed to helping the team succeed. That was something I wanted to be a part of.
“I can’t wait to get started, contribute to the squad and build on the special season the boys had last year. We’re ready for the challenge ahead and excited about what the future holds.”
Rowe becomes the latest addition to the Ammanford AFC squad as preparations continue for the upcoming Cymru Premier campaign.
