Ammanford Reserves romped to a 7-2 home victory over their opponents Kidwelly Town in this Carmarthenshire League Division One fixture.
The First half was the sluggish and although the match was played under blue sky and Sunshine there was a stiff breeze blowing across the pitch which made it difficult for both sides to play their football.
However it was Ammanford’s Grant Stamp who opened the scoring before half time with a well taken strike on goal.
Half Time 1-0
The Second Half got underway and it was Kidwelly Town out of the blocks the quickest and got a deserved equaliser 1-1.
As the game progressed Ammanford began to assert themselves on it and the goals started to flow as the opponents started to tire against the pace of the home team.
Rhodri Davies got a brace of goals as did Aaron Butler and Grant Stamp with substitute paceman Ben Edwards adding to the goals.
The best goal of the game came from the man of the match , midfielder Grant Stamp who beat an opponent and unleashed a powerful shot from distance which gave the Goalkeeper no chance of saving it.
At 6-1 Kidwelly did pull a consolation goal back 6-2 but within minutes Ammanford replied to make the final score 7-2.
Manager Christian Lloyd will be very pleased with his Ammanford squad and with the emphatic win.
