Pob lwc and Diolch Mogs!

Ammanford AFC would like to extend their heartfelt best wishes to departing midfielder Morgan Clarke, who leaves Carmarthenshire after five successful years at the club.

Clarke arrived in 2022 from Merthyr Town and went on to make 150 appearances in the famous black and white shirt. During that time, he scored 11 goals, including a crucial equaliser against Pontypridd United this season; a moment that proved vital in securing our historic promotion to the top flight.

But Clarke’s impact extended far beyond goals. Across the leagues, he earned a reputation as a hard‑working, combative, and tenacious midfielder, blessed with the talent to influence the game in both attack and defence. His consistency and commitment made him a fan favourite and a respected figure among teammates and opponents alike.

Over his half‑decade at the club, the former Swansea Youth man captained the side on numerous occasions and was deservedly named Manager’s Player of the Year during our impressive third‑place finish in the 2023/24 season.

Speaking on his departure, Clarke stated, “I’ve loved every minute of being involved with Ammanford. The community and family feeling has been the main reason I’ve stayed for so long.

“Thank you to everyone and I can’t wait to see your progress in the Cymru Premier next year! All the best!”

Clarke departs due to relocating for work, and while we are sad to see him go, he leaves with our deepest gratitude, our best wishes, and the knowledge that there will always be a home for him in the town.

Pob lwc a diolch, Mogs.
