Ammanford AFC is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Luke Martin has signed up for another year in Black and White.
This will be the keeper’s fourth year in SA18 after arriving from Llanelli in late summer of 2023. During this time, the netminder has made over a century of appearances for the club.
Martin is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers below the top flight and after three previous unsuccessful promotions due to licensing issues with West End United, Goytre United and Swansea University in their respective divisions, this will present the 32 year old with an opportunity to showcase his talents on the biggest stage of them all.
Since moving to Town, the ex Port Talbot man has earned a string of accolades including the Players player award in the 24/25 season as well as keeping 14 clean sheets en route to promotion last campaign.
Speaking on his decision to stay, Martin stated, “I’m pleased to have signed for Ammanford for another season.
“Last season was an amazing achievement, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of competing in the Cymru Premier. It’s an exciting time for the club, and I’m grateful to be part of it.
“I’m looking forward to getting back out there and playing in front of the fans again this year. See you all soon.”
