Club captain Adam Orme has committed his future to the club, agreeing to stay on for the 2025/26 campaign.
The central midfielder took on the armband last season during his second year in Black and White. After joining the club in the summer of 2023, Orme made an impressive start to life at Town, but injury disrupted the latter part of his debut season. On his return, he netted his only goal of the campaign in a commanding 7–0 away win against Abertillery Bluebirds.
Injury once again hampered the early stages of last season, but he made his comeback in October during a home victory over Goytre. His return proved to be a turning point, as he went on to make 21 further appearances in all competitions until the end of the season, scoring a stunning 30-yard effort against Pontypridd United in February.
Before his move to Carmarthenshire, Orme played for Goytre United, Llanelli, and Swansea University in Wales, as well as Moreland in Australia.
While representing Swansea University, he competed in the Futsal Champions League and helped the side win the JD Cymru South in 2020, alongside current Town teammate Luke Martin. Unfortunately, licensing issues denied the students promotion to the top flight.
Speaking about his decision to remain at the club, Orme said, “I’m grateful for the continued trust and support from the club. It’s an honour to captain such an ambitious, community-driven side, and I’m ready to give my all once again for the badge and the Black and White Army.
“I’m looking forward to getting stuck into preseason with a great group who push for more, week in, week out. Let’s make this season one to remember!”
Manager Wyn Thomas added, “Adam Orme’s influence at this football club is immense, both on and off the pitch. He’s an experienced player who has the respect from the youngsters to the most experienced players.
“We’re a much stronger club with him in the squad, and I’m delighted he’s back for another season.”
