Gavin Jones will continue his long-standing association with Ammanford AFC after extending his stay at the Recreation Ground.
This marks the striker’s second stint at the club, having rejoined in late summer last season. During his first spell, Jones made 81 appearances and scored an impressive 41 goals for the Town.
He added a further 22 appearances to his tally last season, scoring four goals including the opener against Ynyshir Albions at home on a challenging afternoon for the club in the snow.
Alongside his time with Ammanford, the 26-year-old has experience in the Cymru Premier with Aberystwyth Town, as well as appearances in Tier 2 with Goytre United, Briton Ferry Llansawel, Llanelli Town and Carmarthen Town.
Speaking on his new deal, Jones said, “I’m buzzing to have signed on for 2026/27 with my hometown club.
“Last season was unbelievable for the club. The boys dug deep and we played for each other. If we bring that into the Cymru Premier, I’m sure we won’t have a problem.
“It’s a big step up for the club, but I can’t wait to get started with the boys and the staff.”
