Ammanford AFC is sad to announce the passing of one of the greatest legends of our club; Mike Lewis.
Mike, commonly known as Micky Lew, was one of the greatest players to have played for the ‘Town’. Mike, equally competent at centre half and centre forward was the John Charles of Welsh League Football, a tough uncompromising player, who could play a big too.
Mikey played for the Town for 5 decades. His passion for the club was unrivalled and went on to take many roles in the club including Manager, coach, bus driver, and trustee. He was black and white through and through.
In memory of Mike, ahead of kick off this evening against Goytre United, there will be a minute silence to honour a club stalwart. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike’s family and friends at this sad time.
