Callum Thomas has become the latest member of the Ammanford AFC squad to commit his future to the club.
The recipient of last season’s Young Player of the Year award, Thomas is one of the most exciting and talented prospects in the JD Cymru South. Since making his debut in Black and White in 2021, the attacking midfielder has gone from strength to strength, earning a growing reputation in the game and even captaining the side on occasions during the 2023/24 campaign.
Last season was his most successful to date. He netted an excellent hat-trick against Afan Lido, scored the winner in our famous Welsh Cup victory over Aberystwyth Town, and has become a crucial cog in his side’s attacking arsenal.
Speaking about his decision to stay, Callum said, “With it being my hometown club, I’m really happy to commit to another year.
“The club has grown a lot over the last two seasons and I’ve been pleased to have grown as a player too.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to push on and helping Ammanford climb as high as we can.”
Manager Wyn Thomas added, “Callum is an exciting prospect and one we’re delighted to have at the football club.
“He’s developed so much over the past few seasons and with his superb attitude, he will only continue learning. His future is a bright one, and we’re thrilled that future is with Ammanford for another year.”
