Full back Harri Lawson has become the latest member of last season’s squad to commit his future to Ammanford.
The 25 year old is no stranger to Black and White having donned the very same colours at his previous clubs of Garden Village and Pontardawe Town. Having joined the club in the summer of 2024, Lawson had a frustrating time thanks to injuries hampering his early days for Town.
However, after a couple of reserve team outings in November and December, he made the leap into the first team from the bench against Llanelli on Boxing day before starting the next two fixtures against Carmarthen Town and Afan Lido.
Amongst a plethora of strong performances, his stunning freekick against Pontypridd United will live long in the memory for all at The Recreation Ground in February.
Lawson told us, “I’m happy to be at Ammanford for another season. I’ve been really impressed with the plans that the club have moving forward. There’s a good group of lads in the dressing room and they made me feel welcome from the moment I joined. I’m looking forward to the next season and seeing how far we can push.”
Wyn Thomas added, “It’s never easy coming into the side half way through the season but Harri did it and seamlessly. He’s been a great addition to the squad and one I was keen to tie down when looking ahead to next year.”
