Legendary centre half Euros Griffiths has committed to another year in Black and White as he has signed on for the 25/26 season.

Griffiths’ name has become synonymous with Ammanford AFC over the last few years. In a career that has lasted over a decade in Black and White, the Betws native was one of the first names on previous boss Gruff Harrison’s team sheet and continued that when Wyn Thomas took charge in August last year.

Since coming through the youth ranks and making his debut for the first team, he has amassed 476 outings in Black and White. During that time, he has scored 26 goals including in this season’s JD Welsh Cup tie against Europa Conference Qualifiers Haverfordwest County live on S4C.

The 34 year old is renowned for his aerial presence, strength, passion, and determination to succeed and will go down as one of the best to have ever played for the club.

Speaking about his decision to stay, he told us, “I’m looking forward to another year in what is promising to be an exciting season for our league and our squad.

“As most of the boys are aware, I’m very close to hitting the 500 appearances milestone for my hometown club, something which will mean a great deal to me.”

His manager, Wyn Thomas, added, “The word legend doesn’t go far enough to describe Euros’ contribution to the club. I’m delighted he’s back. He is a leader both on and off the field and his experience will be crucial this year to help the club finish as high as we can.”
