Midfielder Jon Invernizzi has committed his future to the club for the 25/26 campaign.

The Italian has decided to stay in Carmarthenshire after a strong season in central midfield last time around.

In the early days of his career, Invernizzi earned playing experience in the English Non-League system with Cinderford and Lydney Town.

The 26 year old made the move to Wales in 2023 with a move to fellow JD Cymru South side Llantwit Major however, his time in the Vale of Glamorgan didn’t last long as he linked up with Mark Aizelwood’s Carmarthen Town late in the summer of 2023.

After a strong season for the Old Gold, he joined Town in the dying embers of the transfer window and went on to make 27 appearances in Black and White in all competitions, earning plaudits for his defensive work and work rate.

Invernizzi stated on his decision to stay, “The way the fans welcomed me when I joined was great for me personally.

“I think that we have the ability within the team to go toe to toe with any team in this league. I have trust in Wyn and our coaching staff to take us on to the next level this season.”

Wyn Thomas added, “Jon fitted in seamlessly when he joined the club and I was really pleased he decided to join us. He is hugely important to the side and the way we play. It’s fantastic to see him back at the club for the new campaign.”
