Ammanford AFC are gearing up for a season opener with a twist, as four of their first five fixtures come against the new boys of the division; a fresh and fascinating start for Wyn Thomas’ men.
The curtain-raiser sees Town hit the road with a testing away trip to Cardiff Draconians on Saturday 26th July. The capital side earned their place in Tier 2 after a title-winning campaign in the Ardal South West, and they’ll be keen to make their mark early.
Ammanford’s home campaign begins under the Friday night lights on August 8th, welcoming Llantwit Major to the Recreation Ground. The Vale of Glamorgan side arrive with renewed ambition following the return of league-winning boss Karl Lewis.
The rest of August brings a string of intriguing clashes against newcomers, including a trip to Ynyshir Albions, a Friday night home tie with Treowen Stars, and a mouth-watering Bank Holiday away day by the seaside at Aberystwyth Town.
Looking further ahead, fans can pencil in the traditional Boxing Day derby as Town make the short journey across Carmarthenshire to face fierce local rivals Carmarthen Town. And when the calendar flips to 2026, Ammanford will welcome Ynyshir Albions to kick off the New Year in front of a home crowd.
April’s run-in features a headline final home game against promotion hopefuls Newport City before the season concludes with a lunchtime kick-off at Cwmbran Celtic on Saturday 18th April.
